levi and oz got ready for their first train trip together!
we took the amtrak (aka "the fast train") all the way to dc.


farah and brian took us down to the mall to check out kite day.
our kite was more people-powered than wind-powered.


we got to see our big kid friends!

all four of them: j, j, d and m


oz marched a mile (!) happily holding j and m's hands the whole way.

taking a sandwich break while admiring some horses.

oz sweet talked his way into a trumpet lesson.

many train hours later, we made it home -- where we headed straight for a playground.

they knew just what to do.
